George Lucas

George Lucas befriends Indiana Jones in August, 1973 and gets fasionated about Indy's life-story. He begins to write a screenplay based on it. But, he changes Indy's last name, in that of Indy's mother's maiden-name. So, the screenplay is called: The Adventures of Indiana Smith. It was Steven Spielberg who wanted to use Indy's true last name. They develloped Indy's life-story in to a franchise. The rest is history...
